Govt. Polytechnic, Gaya was established by the act of Govt. of Bihar in the year 1960, constituted to work under Department of Science and Technology. Govt. Polytechnic, Gaya is situated at the place of enlightenment of “Lord Gautam Buddha” and is a holy place where foot marks of “Lord Vishnu” is placed in the sacred “Vishnu Pad Mandir”.
Gaya presently offers a diploma courses in five streams of engineering, civil engg, Computer science and engineering, Electrical Engg. Electronics Engg. and Mechanical Engg. And also some vocational courses for employment generation such as IRG, CDTP and women industrial school.
